£10,000 grant to Painswick Golf Club

Painswick Golf Club have been awarded a £10,000 grant by Biffa Awards to install underground water mains to the grazing paddocks on Painswick Beacon, within the area of the course rented from Selina Blow, Lord of the Manor.

Whilst the club derive no direct benefit it represents a commitment to supporting our landlord and Natural England, a commitment to the local community and to improving biodiversity.

Most importantly this initiative reduces the grass height around the Beacon and enables the Club to earn money towards offsetting rent.

Biffa Awards is a charity generated by government to use tax raised from landfill to regenerate environmental, economic and social conditions. This initiative has been identified by several local newspapers and BBC resulting in increased publicity for all parties
